What does a repeater do?
A repeater can significantly increase the usable range of two-way radios by receiving a transmission and retransmitting it from a higher or more suitable location. This works in a similar way to a mobile phone network, helping radios communicate over greater distances.
Please note: A suitable Ofcom repeater licence is required for operation in the UK. The repeater and radios will also need to be correctly programmed to the authorised frequencies.
For a complete repeater installation, you will also require a suitable base antenna and duplexer, which are not included unless specifically stated in the listing.
